    Internet Text (Office 2000 / SR-1a)

I have never run into so many problems as I have since getting a new Windows XP Professional machine. I have Office 2000 SR-1a supposedily installed on it although it only lists SR-1 under the

Help About always says SR-1. You have to look at the revision information to tell if it's SR-1a. I'm running a Win2000 Pro machine, and I can't copy that page into Word either. It appears there's something in the HTML for that site that Word 2000 dislikes, since even if you save it as an HTML page, you can't insert it into Word. But if you can paste it into Excel, why not just use that.?

And I would never suggest turning off ZoneAlarm so you can paste something into an application. Firewalls are there to protect you, but they don't work if you turn them off.

I can't paste it in HTML format (Paste command or Ctrl-V), but it is possible to paste as formatted text - RTF (Edit - Paste Special - Formatted Text/RTF).
Seemly Word dislike style type text/css in HTML.

I'd suspect it's a security issue, since Word is a major vector for macro viruses and HTML is a potential carrier.

    Kaplinb,

Thanks. I tried your suggestion and, as you said, it did paste in the RTF format. I
