    update W7 to W10 error C1900101-40097

I've been trying to update to Win 10 on a HP dv6-6c50ca laptop with Windows 7 - Home Premium OA. The update was reserved and authorized and it seems to be loading all right -this takes a long time, hours - and at one point things stop and I am brought back to Windows 7. I went through the process 5 times, each time trying suggestions from people that have the same problem (Forum for Win 10). The error I get every time is C1900101-40017. Many people have this same problem and Microsoft has not provided a good answer. Can you help?

It is imperative that you have the most current drivers especially for an AMD graphics card.

Have you contacted MS support direct or just relied on the forums ?

I have only relied on the forums till now. My desktop is with Windows 10, it's my laptop that won't go to Windows 10; there is no emergency but it is mostly a frustrating issue.

If you want to upgrade the laptop as well, by now I'm sure MS will have had all of the fail error codes reported to them and I would think the help on this would be free.
