    I have a problem getting WIN 10

as I have over 170 updates to install .I had unfortunately turned of automatic update due to a few problems with the updates. I ned to know or where I can find the best way to install these updates if possible.
I hope this is the right place to ask this type of question. any help will be appreciated.

Are you referring to win 7/8 updates before you get win 10? If so, just do them 10/15 at a time. Uncheck all but 10 or 15 updates then just repeat the process until you are done.
If you try to do them all at once, you will end up with problems.

    response to a question

I left out a part of by mistake. A program I use had sorted all the updates for Win 7 alphabetically and not by date. I believe this may cause a problem. If I am not suppose ask about issues I am having please advise me . Thank you for your help.

The purpose of the forum is for asking questions, as you have done. No problem.

A program I use had sorted all the updates for Win 7 alphabetically and not by date
Not sure what kind of program that would be, but just using the regular windows update would be a preferred option.

Windows should list your updates in chronological order and that's the order you should install them.

Just do all the updates. I have never ever had any problems with any updates!
