All Unread Email in One Folder

    Hi,
I have three email accounts and would like to receive new email in just one folder. I have searched for an answer to this but cannot find any help at all.
I thought it could be done through Rules but I cannot get it to work in fact whatever I did resulted in all my gmail disappearing.

Any help and pointers in the right direction will greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Alan

I have Mozilla Thunderbird. It gives me options for more than one account. I believe the only way to have one folder is to "tell" two of the three accounts to forward all incoming emails to the third account.

Yeah, I know that feeling. Within the pages and pages of each account's configuration, is buried the "forward email to" function. I don't remember where within Tbird that option is.

    Tools/message filters/Forward message to perhaps?

P.s. welcome back Roland - you seem to have been quiet for a while....

The trick here is for all emails to be delivered to the same .pst file.

I've no PC access at present so can't give a detailed description.

There are two ways to go about this. One, as Browni has just stated, is to have all your email in a single .pst file. Of course, this is only possible if you use POP for all your accounts. Do you?

The other way is through rules. It's not hard to get a rule to move email messages to a different folder, when they arrive.

I use both strategies. All POP accounts are associated with the same .pst file. For IMAP accounts, a simple rule can move messages, on arrival.

What is your situation regarding POP and IMAP?
