    Surface Pro 3 Pen Like/Hate

The pen that ships with a Surface Pro 3 is an active rather than capactive stylus. This is great for writing and drawing and pointing and clicking. What it's not good for is for scrolling pages. For that, you need a iPad type stylus or a finger.

There doesn't appear to be a simple alternative to carrying two stylus's - either that or use your finger for scrolling. If I were the designer, I would have probably dispensed with the button top (which is only useful for OneNote) and put a capactive tip there instead.

    Your mileage may vary.

This is why duct tape is a must have staple for all guys; cut a half inch off the iPen's head
and tape it to the surface's rear end one.
