One of the forms in my Access (ACCESS 2000 running under Windows 2000)

One of the forms in my Access database seems to have gotten disconnected from the table, despite the fact that the Record Source property is indeed pointing to the correct table.

Is there a property that I am overlooking? or is is something else that I need to be aware of.

I need to get this form reconnected A.S.A.P., and would appreciate any assistance.

    Thank you,
    Sincerely,
    Steve Weber

    Hi Steve,
What exactly do you mean by "seems to have gotten disconnected from the table"? Is it not displaying any records or what? If that is the problem, have you cheked to see whether it has any filters applied to it or whether it has been set as a data-entry form?

It's not displaying any records (although the record number reads "1").

If you view the Form's properties in design view, on the Data tab is Data Entry set to yes? (Just to rule out the obvious, there is data in the table?)

Another thing I noticed (since I'm not the one who created the database), is that the first time I try open the pertinent table up after opening the database, there appears to be a query running (with a progress bar).
Could that have anything to do with it?

    Yes, I already checked that.

Should I send you a stripped down version of the database (with the company confidential stuff removed) that you can look at?

If it's too big to post here then yes. I take it there aren't any linked tables?

    There aren't any linked tables.

    I'll post it momentarily.

I'm going to have to email you directly at your email address, because the file is 480+k, (after my having stripped it down to only a few records)
