    Upgrade error code-8007002C-3000D

In trying to upgrade from win 7 home premium on my laptop to win 10. I get this error code 8007002C-3000D. In four calls to Microsoft tech center none has been able to solve the problem. I feel certain that if I reformat my hard drive and reinstall the win 7 OS things would go smoothly. But being a little bit lazy I'd rather not have to reinstall all my old software.
    Has anyone encountered this problem?
    Thanks

Re-installing W7 is not guaranteed to fix anything, but if you don't mind re-installing the last post here suggests choosing the "keep nothing" option when you upgrade.

Make an image backup before you start, of course, and make sure you have all the passwords for mail etc before you start.

    cheers, Paul
