    Kb3093266

KB3093266 came out today on my win 10 laptop. I use the mail app with 2 accounts, my gmail account and my hotmail account. After the update, my gmail still works in the mail app but the hotmail account doesn't show any mail whatsoever and I know there is mail in there because I went online to check. I assume that the latest update broke the hotmail account because it worked before the update.
I'm wondering about the cumulative updates also. Since MS puts all previous updates in each cumulative update ( although it only updates what you don't already have ), the size of the D/L is now up to 505 MB, so if this continues it may start taking days and weeks to get updates in the future.
Another thing about the D/L is that it went a bit strange. It went to 5% then sat there for approx. 5 mins., then started going again to 90% and then sat there for approx. 10+ mins. before finishing the D/L. Normally it keeps going until finished.
    Just sayin, LOL

It's meant to fix Start/Cortana critical errors for some, but it's causing problems for many:

Windows 10 cumulative update 7, KB 3093266, hit by recurring update failures

Thanks Bruce, I read a number of problems but mail app wasn't mentioned in any of them. As to Cortana, I opted out of all instances of that upon/after the win10 upgrade. Maybe I should count my blessings.
