Question Error Message re. Wrong Version of Windows for File on Floppy Disk

Needed to access some old (1995-96) content on a floppy disk. Used a USB floppy disk drive but when I tried to open the setup.exe file, I got this error message:
    Error Message.JPG

Both PC and laptop are running Windows 7.1, 64 bit.

Instructions on the disks tell how to open them in either Windows 3.1 or 95, which I recall were 32 bit.

Is there any way around this? I sure don't have a Windows 95 system around to use!

    Hopefully,

    Linda

Install W95 on a virtual machine, or try the software in DOSbox (my preferred solution).
    XP in a VM: http://www.howtogeek.com/171395/how-...-on-windows-8/

Wow, Paul, that's great. I'll check out DOSbox first and post back how it goes.

Thanks so much for so specific an answer...and so quickly! :-)
