win 7 SP1 and win 10 upgrade
a frustrating several days trying to instal SP1 in win 7 so that i can get my upgrade; so I am running win7 on a mac inside parallels. My win 7 is a purchased upgrade disk on my old XP. I have the disks for both programs. my mac OS is El Capitan.
run SFC/scannow-no problems.
run win update, doesn't instal, code error 80240016
run command file stop wuauserv
run win update- error code 80080100
download win update readiness tool, instal-complete.
rerun SFC/scannow-no problems
rerun win update-same error code.
download KB976932.exe from microsoft-64 bit version
Initiate instal- get prep computer; instal, creating system restore point-after 10 min.-get instal not successful. no error code.
do clean boot, run win update again, error code8007007A
ps start-computer-tight click-properties-windows is activated.
Help, I am about to start playing frisbee with all my windows disks with the dog...............

Enter your product key into https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/soft...nload/windows7 to see if it accepts it to download the ISO - I think these include SP1 and then you can do a reinstall.
You can use https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...-download-tool to create a bootable USB or DVD from the saved ISO.
