Many hyperlinks can't be opened when running Edge

I was a Vista user. Got a new laptop with Windows 10 Edge and IE11.
I am not that clever as a user and I feel frustrated when I get problems that never got before with other browsers.
Simple hyperlinks don't open in Edge but they often do if i can Copy and Paste them on IE11
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance

From a PC World article on using Edge...

If Edge can't open a particular Web site, you'll see an option in the Settings to open the site in Internet Explorer.

Edge is a work in progress and you can expect improvements via MS updates. (Pity MS released W10 before it was ready)

    cheers, Paul

All links open fine with Edge for me. Any examples?

It's really in More actions, not Settings.

Thanks to everybody for your advice.
I now believe it will gradually solve by itself, it has gotten a little bit better but it's still annoying. However I'm prepared to live with it

What sites will not open for you in Edge?

Aside from the fact that one can always switch to IE for any sites not yet Edge Ready.

There is no - no - reason to use Edge or any other browser that doesn't work properly, or that annoys you. None!

If you are willing to live with it because you are hesitant (afraid) to switch browsers, FEAR NOT.

Download Firefox from the Firefox website - nowhere else - and in 10 minutes your problems will be over.

It is simple simple simple. Firefox will even import your bookmarks (favorites).

You will wonder why you didn't do it a long time ago.
