    Office 365

Upgraded my W8.1 machine to W10.

I now have Office 10 installed. Is there any real NEED to upgrade to Office 365?

As far as I know Office 10 is the code name for Office XP. Do you mean Office 2010? </pedant> Don't forget that Office 365 is just a way of purchasing Office which has advantages and disadvantages versus purchasing retail. I believe that getting O365 will get you Office 2016 now. As RG says, it depends on what you want from your Office suite.

Yes I meant Office 2010. I am not currently aware of any of my needs that Office 2010 doesn't satisfy.

Unless you want something in Office 365 which is not available in Office 2010 save your money. Here's a few Microsoft pages that you should read - See what's new in the Office 2016 apps and What's New and Improved in Office 2016 and What’s new in Office 2013.

It's not so much a matter of what components in Office 2016 vs Ofice365. But, I would say Office365 is the better way to go than the Suite. W/ the subscription one never needs to even consider buying a new version... you're always up-to-date. 1 subscription can go on up to 5 devices and it gets Support, 60 World Skype minutes/month and 1TB of cloud storage. Office365 IS Office 2016 and offers a lot of value & flexibility for its cost. I have had both & will, now, always stick w/ Office 365.

I got the other version, Office 365 Personal] with my Dell Venue 8, been waiting to install as long as I could pending the latest updates at which point the 1 year subscription will begin. It's not as generous with devices as Office 365 Home but has the same applications.
