Outlook 2013 - Save sent emails in a second folder

I'm coming from a Lotus Notes background, and want to emulate some of that in Outlook. When I send an email, I would like to store it in the sent folder, but also (a link???) in a folder related to that email, e.g. work, family, project1, etc. In Lotus Notes I would get a pop-up after pressing send asking me which folder to save it in.
I've looked at creating a rule, but only seem to be able to save to a pre-designated folder. Is there a way to produce the behaviour I want?
    Thanks for any help.

You need either a third party tool or code to accomplish this. Check Outlook & Exchange Utilities and Addins and Outlook User's Solutions Center to see if there is anything you can use. Also, see Add-Ins, Tools and VBA samples that add new features to Microsoft® Outlook® and outlookcode.com for more "stuff".

You can achieve this by using Rules in Outlook.

Create a rule that copies every sent messages in specified folder.
