Adding Shorcuts to Quick Launch Bar

I had to remove and reinstall MS office because of problems on my system, but now all the shortcuts in my quick launch bar are gone and I can not replace them. I have check the properties of the toolbar and it is set to quick launch, but when I try to drag an .exe file from Windows Explorer or My Computer it tells me a shortcut can not be added here. I would really like to add shortcuts to my frequently used MS applications. Thanks

Thanks. What I figured out was that folder had been deleted, that is why I couldn't drag and drop into the toolbar as usual. Once I recreated that folder all was well, although I still don't know how it get deleted in the first place. Thanks, Sarah

One advantage of later Windows (2000 or XP) is that they don't let you Delete such important system folders. However, you could do it from another OS i.e. accidentally delete the folder for XP from within 2000, if you're in a dual-boot scenario. It should then be recoverable from the Bin, though.
