Putting my styles into documents from elsewhere - Word 10

For documents I create, I've developed a default set of styles that I prefer. Particularly my Title style is different from that shipped with Word. Also my Normal style is Calibri 14 pt, rather than the 11 point that Word shipped with. There may be others that I don't remember.

When I open a document created by someone else, I don't have access to my Title style. The Normal style is typically 11 point rather than my preferred 14. Other styles are from the person who created the document, and are often different from what I prefer. Ugh.

Is there a way to make documents from elsewhere conform to my preferred styles? (Their Title converted to mine, their Normal font converted to mine, etc.)

Upon opening, you can attach your template and check the 'automatically update document styles', both under Developer>Document Template.

When you do that and have your styles, it would be a good idea to uncheck the box for updating styles.
