    Windows 7 Pro installation failure

It went through the first part of the install and then did its reboot. At that point it failed due to not being able to find the language option(s).

    Completely stuck.

Were you trying to add additional languages?

Initial/new installation with no language choice, should have been English.

At reboot after the first part of the install error message simply said it could not find what language to install (the language package). Prior to that, nothing was ever said about a language during the install and it did communicate during the install.

Have installed Windows7 a number of different times on different computers and never seen this before.

An additional problem is that this is my sister's computer and install was being done remotely (I'm 3000 miles away). Remote installs have work many times before as an Adm.

It could be a faulty install DVD. Do you have a spare?
It could also be a faulty hard disk, run the manufacturers diags.

    cheers, Paul
