    Auto Login PC's

I have two PC's in a amateur remote automated astronomical observatory. Currently these PC's are running Windows 8.1 Professional. The Observatory is run on a large UPS, but occasionally we have extended power outages. In the event the power is interrupted, the PC's are setup to reboot and "Auto Logon" to specific Userids. The PC's then reload all the necessary Software and resume control as required.

    My questions:

    1. I've been waiting months for Microsoft to "push" Windows 10 to these two PC's. As best as I can tell it hasn't because I auto logon the PC. Correct?

    2. Does anyone know if the "Auto logon" patches are going to be made available under Windows 10 Pro? Since These two PC's are unattended, I need a way for them to be logged in following a reboot. Ideas?

Thanks as always for the assistances everyone!

Re: 1 - Correct. After an automatic upgrade to Windows 10 you would be shown a 'Sign in' screen.

Re: 2 - Rather than describe the 2 methods and their steps here, have a look at Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup.

You will also need to think about the default power saving. Have a look at How to Turn On or Off Require Sign-in on Wakeup in Windows 10.

    Hope this helps...

If you want to manually update the PCs to 10 use the MS Media Creation Tool. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...n-tool-install

I think you both need to reread the OP.
