    Border around report (97 SR2)

Is there a way to make a page border on a report - a border that will surround the entire page??

The answer is YES, but it's not said with quite the enthusiasm one would say it if referring to placing a border around a Word document.

It's done by placing vertical line objects in the detail section and any group header/footers. Make sure the lines stretch from completely from the top to the bottom of each section. (Don't forget Report Header/footer...)

Place a horizontal line in the Page Header and Footer. If there is any information in the header/footer (like page numbers) be sure to place the line on the outside of the information. Then use a vertical line to connect the horizontal lines to the inside sections.

I use this technique for borders and also to create a "spreadsheet" look to my reports when needed.
