    Edge translation

Chrome is such a cludge to use. However it does feature an effective automatic page translation. I review a lot of Chinese pages and the translation feature has been essential. Edge has no similar translation feature. Internet Explorer's option is inadequate. Will this be forthcoming? When can we expect that?

Using the IE Accelerator or the Translator Bookmarklet?

Or is it the Chinese to English capabilities of Microsoft Translator in general which you find lacking something?

With Chrome the translation is completely automatic. When a Chinese page is displayed it is automatically translated with an option to untranslate.
The existing Microsoft tools require copy or paste either of the contents to be translated or of the URL, or embedding code in the page.

The Translator Bookmarklet only takes a single click on an IE Favorites Bar icon to translate a whole page:

Microsoft Translator can translate any Web page on the fly
A new bookmarklet from Microsoft can instantly translate any Web page from one language to another with just a simple click.

    (new in 2011)

Works in Firefox and Safari as well as Internet Explorer.

The Translator Bookmark looks like what I need -- however, I am unable to install it. The instructions are simple enough. However when I drag it to the bookmark bar it picks up a red slashed circle (ie. banned).

    In which browser?

Still works fine for me in IE11 and Firefox 42.

The Edge browser. However, after your suggestion I tried it with IE and it works as advertised. That plus the highlight and right-click to Bing translator gives me the minimum I need
