Windows / Web Credentials Manager (lack of information)

Ever since upgrading to Windows 10 I have been having issues with computers not being able to communicate/access each other of my LAN. After doing some reading and investigating, apparently one must access the Windows/Web Credentials manager and add/change some settings in order for computers on the LAN to access each other. What I find interesting is that not much is written on this setting ( Windows/Web Credentials manager). I have never heard of this before but now in Windows 10 it needs to be tweaked in order for my LAN to run correctly. I wish There was a full blown tutuorial on this setting. I think it might prove useful to the masses. (I still dont understand it how to use it) Thanks!

Both the workgroup and homegroup methods for networking work with Windows 10. There is usually no reason to use the credentials manager unless you want to remove old credentials.

What sort of troubleshooting have you tried?

The How To Geek has a tutorial on adding a Windows Credential to the Credential Manager.
