    Create System Repair drive

I don't have an option to create a system repair drive on a flash drive - it only offers to create it on an optical disk. Is that some oddity in this older piece of hardware, or does W10 limit you to optical discs for this?

    Thanks

OK never mind. I was poking around some more and found a way to do it. I was originally looking in File History, right after I created a system image.

But if I look in Control Panel>Recovery I can create a recovery drive in there, which now that I think about it is how I've created them in Win8.

If you have an older machine then it may not have the option to boot from an USB before HDD so you'll only be able to use a disk, but do you have the USB plugged in so that it can see it ?

Yes I had a USB drive plugged in. In the Create System Image dialog, it is not available. In the Control Panel/Create Recovery Drive it is available.
