    Win 10 locking files

    Hi:

I've had trouble with Win10 "locking" files. Looking with explorer (actually xplorer2, but I don't think that matters) if I view a file with Quickview, or Properties utility, (to determine that I don't want it and can delete it), when I then go to delete it I get the error message "the action cannot be completed because the file is open in system"... When I go and manually close Quickview (which once opened, seems to stay resident in memory, but can be closed) then the file can be deleted but obviously this trick doesn't work in an explorer application.

Any idea how this can be changed?

    Thanks

    Richard

If you are not in a rush to delete the files see MoveFile.
