I was just thinking about this the other day, I did a quick Google search and couldn't find anything about it but probably just not using the right search terms.

For the old-timers, does anyone remember calling in to the Microsoft Help Desk back in the, I think, early '90's? They actually had their own radio station for those on hold. They had a DJ playing smooth jazz tunes and then he would break in and tell you how long the wait times were for Word, Excel, etc. He would even tell you what the weather was like in Seattle. And, then, they would have an actual person that would talk to you and help you out!

I was wondering if there are any articles or information about this. When did it start and how long did it last. I'm pretty sure that I didn't imagine it. Hope someone remembers.
