Access 2016: Updating a table within a form

I have a form containing a subform of a list of hosts for participants in a festival held biennially. The list is linked to a table of years so that selecting the year pulls down the list of hosts for that year. The form also provides for the selection of hosts for the next festival (see attachment). A list box provides names from which the hosts are selected and a button labelled 'Click to insert...' then runs an append query that adds the chosen host to a table of hosts (tabHosts) which is the source of the subform. My problem is that the subform is not updated after the button is clicked. If I close the form and re-open it, the subform is updated. I suspect this is a simple issue but as a non-programmer it's just outside my comfort zone.

As far as I know all you need is Me.Requery in the Button VBA code, after the inserts are done.

Yes, that's all it needed. Many thanks indeed!
