Outlook disaster after Office 2016 upgrade

After the most recent Office 2013 update I started getting incessant nags to upgrade to 2016. I decided to give it a try a few hours ago. Ever since then I have not been able to send/receive any emails using Outlook.

I have five accounts that I monitor via Outlook. On four of them whenever I try to send/receive I get an error that says "unknown error 0x8007007E" On the other one I get an error that says "Cannot connect to the network. Verify you network connection or modem"

A Google search showed some people with the same problem were able to send/received when starting Outlook in administrator mode--didn't work for me.

Any ideas? That failing, any advice how to roll back to Office 2013?

BTW, I'm running Win7 and have 32bit Office 2016 installed.

Were the accounts upgraded or did you add the accounts manually?

    I upgraded the accounts.

I ended up uninstalling 2016 and reinstalled 2013. Everything is working again so I guess I can close this thread.
