    Angry Windows 10 backup fails

I have a dell venue pro 8 tablet with windows 10 installed. I have tried 2 different brand microsd cards as back up for file history but both fail. Windows tells me the size of the backup appx. 17Gb and says sd card has 58Gb free. I click backup now but the backup stops within 10 seconds. Nothing is backedup. Windows backup troubleshooting guide says the backup location cannot be found error code:0x81000006. After retrying backup it stopped at 1/3 rd of the way and now says windows needs a cd/dvd or usb drive to continue.

Open an elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator)

    Enter the following...

    chkdsk /r X:

Replace X with the actual drive letter of the SD card.

Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.

Try a third-party backup program and see if you get the same result.

Macrium Reflect Free is recommended quite often on the Lounge.
