Flood of Windows updates after GWX activated

I installed GWX control panel to block the Windows 10 upgrade on my Toshiba Satellite A505. Worked perfect. Icon removed.

Next day I get a slue of WU (34) dating back to November 7. It's as if they were waiting there. what was it that blocked them from being installed?
I have my WU set to 'ask me first before installing'. Was Microsoft being sneaky?

The Win10 upgrade seems to block W7/8 updates, probably on the assumption that you don't need them for W10. Others have mentioned the same issue here.

    cheers, Paul

Then it IS a bit sneaky activity on the part of Microsoft. Their way of forcing the issue?
