Outlook (2010) options reset each time it starts.

Recently (I assume after an automatic update) I have been getting my Outlook options changed each time Outlook is closed down/restarted. I try putting the options back the way I want them and that is fine until the next time I close it. Examples of what I do not want: save a copy of sent emails in sent items folder; Navigation Pane displaying Favorites; several extra buttons displayed at bottom of navigation pane; the ToDo pane displayed.

Can anyone tell me how to preserve the options that I want?

Have you tried to repair the Office installation?

If a repair does not help, you may need to create a new email profile.

Thanks, Joe, I should have thought of that. It seems to be fixed.
