S-L-O-W Windows Explorer
I'm on a P-III 933MHz system with 256MB RAM, and for some reason my computer is slow as molasses when browsing for files in Windows Explorer. This is with no major programs running and my Norton System Doctor telling me that CPU usage is 4%. All my other programs (e.g. Photoshop, Office 2000, PageMaker, etc.) open and operate very quickly -- it's only Windows Explorer that is giving me grief.
Is there a buffer or cache or some such setting that I need to check to find the memory bottleneck? Any ideas would be appreciated.
