    Is Edge a real browser?

I just installed Win10 and have been playing with the new interface and apps. Edge almost acts like a browser but seems to be missing some of the functionality I've come to expect in a browser. I'm not thrilled with all the dancing baloney on the home page but the "customize" button doesn't seem to allow me to remove any of the BS, it just rearranges the way it's displayed. I can't find any way to specify a new home page (such as my Google calendar).

On the abbreviated tool menu under "...(more)" there is a "cast to device" option which will find my Roku device (but not my Chromecast key) but I haven't successfully managed to "cast" any content from Edge to my TV. Is there a help file or instruction manual I'm missing? Something that does more than hype "mark up any webpage" and "share with friends" marketing nonsense?

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

    To change Edge Home Page:
    1. Select More (…) on the address bar, then Settings.
    2. Under Open with, select A specific page or pages.
3 Choose one of the default options or select Custom to enter the URL of another page you’d like to see each time you open the browser.

To save, select the plus button.

Boy, that's real intuitive. No wonder the article that holdum333 references indicates Win10 users are running away from Edge in droves. Thanks for your help and the replies. I think I'll stay with Firefox until Edge gets fixed.

Doesn't seem a whole lot different to FF to me (but then I don't use edge...)

Why not just stay with Firefox and forget whatever MS does?

Firefox, Opera, Chrome and others are excellent. I don't see the fascination with MS browsers.

Maybe it is like a moth being attracted to a flame. It may be OK for a while, but sooner or later - poof.
