    Bond metal to metal or anything else (literally) without welding or soldering.

    Pretty cool technology that I got the link from my RSS feed. Thought good enough to share here. Glue electronic components for pipes at room temperature. Done. Hope it's as good as what I've read about this technology. Now, you can actually weld plastic pipes to copper ones. You can clue your ICs to the PCB now too. Crazy wonderful. All at room temperature.

    I can see problems if you put a little too much glue on that IC.

    Another bad this is you won't be using the chip again once you do so Paul. lol

    I've replace many heatsinks on CPUs (because the fan and heatsink had to be done together). You definitely won't be doing this anymore.

    It looks to me like the only good use for it is as solder replacement, that is, those components that you want to "permanently" affix.

    I wonder how you would unattach a component?

    And that says nothing at all to the thermodynamics of heat transfer from the chip to the heatsink if
    it's to be used on something like a Northbridge.
    Still, it might be useful in some instances.
