Selling my Windows 8 laptop. What to do?

Somebody has offered to buy my Windows 8 laptop. I've removed all my own programs and documents, but I don't know how to eliminate myself as a user and enable the buyer as one. Windows 8 is a near-total mystery to me. Help!

Hi Lou! Restore back to factory would be my choice. If you post make and model of PC, someone here can help you do that!

If you want to recycle your PC, give it away, or start over with it, you can reset it completely.

    Remove everything and reinstall Windows

How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC - Applies to Windows 8.1

There is some software on it that the new owner wants. Due to a limit on the number of installs, I'm not sure that we have a way to reinstall it, and I don't want to take any chances.

It came with Windows 8, and I upgraded to Windows 8.1.

The computer is an H-P Pavilion TouchSmart 11" Notebook. Model TS 11-e10nr.

I'd be happy just to replace myself as a user.

This is the best way, follow the above, you cannot go wrong. I +1 Bruce's advice!
