    A connexion problem with skype

    No matter how I update skype or uninstall reinstall under Windows 7 Family edition Impossible to connect on a laptop ; I give my microsoft adress on the web and it does not work ; on the other hand I am connected on my office PC some rooms aside ; the connexion is Wifi and working perefectly on both PC's ; no way to get support from microsoft, the opening screen is indefinitely blue and no possiblity to connect ; somebody has an idea ? I am ready to give more info if requested

    Skype uses Java now, on desktop Windows versions?!

    Or was Java interfering in some way?

    yes apprently that is the case but precisely I got a problem with java ; no way to uninstall or install it on my laptop ....

    The skype forum pointed you to a javascript test page - if javascript is turned off in your browser (Skype uses IE as a base) then many things won't work as expected.

    Java and javascript are very different entities.
