    Windows Old Files.

I've just upgraded to Win 10 pro & have noticed that the windows old file in C drive is 12.4g.

Do I need this file, or should I delete it.?

I've no intention of going back to Win 7.

    Thanks,

    S.

You can delete it, using cleanmgr.exe (Disk Cleanup utility).

If you remove it, you won't be able to go back to Windows 7, not even within the 30 day period allowed by Windows 10 to revert the upgrade.

After the 30 day period, it will be deleted automatically.

Try running Disk Cleanup as an admin by right clicking on it and select Run as administrator then scroll down to see if it is listed - but I wouldn't be too hasty in getting rid or it.

You need to click the Clean up System files button.
