    Internet Explorer has stopped working

On my Win 7/64 with 24G memory and I7 processor, I have suddenly begun getting the message "Internet Explorer has Stopped Working." This typically happens when multiple tabs are opened. Error occurs twice (after first cancel) then marks tab "Internet restore error." Then begins to do same to other tabs except home page. This began occurring en masse after a Microsoft update.

The event log shows the following under Windows logs/Application:

The following has been done step by step. At each step, IE11 was tested (opening multiple tabs), same symptom occurred by third tab. Multiple restarts.
    1. IE11 uninstalled and reinstalled. Reinstall did not go smoothly, but web help fixed.
    2. All internet options set to default.
    3. All add-ons disabled. (Many previously used are now marked "Incompatible."

I prefer IE11 because it seems to be the only browser that will (or would) accept Adobe Acrobat (v9) conversion add-on. I typically save on-line receipts, invoices, etc. as pdfs rather than web pages. Firefox pdf add-on use an external web site, which I prefer not to use.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Tweaking.com's Windows Repair (All in One) may be helpful; there is a checkmark for IE fixing, along with system files registration, files reassociation, and so on.

You could try running this MS Fixit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...nce_and_safety but that error must be the worst one to diagnose.

I get it occasionally and two or three times in succession and then it goes.
