    Adding New Tasks (Outlook 2002)

I have a user with a Dell Inspiron 8100, PIII 1.7GB, 512 RAM. He is unable to add new tasks. When he attempts to add a new task he gets "could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid." I have turned off the filters. I am sure I am missing something simple.

Re: Adding New Tasks (Outlook 2002)

The easiest thing to try would be to go to Help -- Repair and let the Office Repair do its thing. Admittedly I've yet to be impressed with this actually repairing anything, and it does like to toss new icons in the start menu occasionally (even if I tell it not to), but it just might be a simple and dirty fix.

Mark, I tried the repair help option with no change. I did a search of the Microsoft Knowledge Base with little success until I checked Outlook 98. I used the Actions menu then click Save Task Order; the issue was resolved. Thanks for you input it triggered new line of attack thinking for me.
