Cables for USB 3.1 generation 2

I assume this is the best place for a question on USB 3.0 and 3.1 generation 2. I know that you need a 3.0 cable for USB 3.0, but I have a port on my new Alienware X51 that is rated at 10 Gbps, which I understand is considered generation 2 USB 3.0. What kind of USB cable do I need? What I see on Amazon is very confusing.

    Thanks.

USB 3.1 vs. USB Type-C vs. USB 3.0 What’s the difference?
The above might help a bit.

But it would also help if you had a device that uses that cute little port on your machine.
And that will largely depend upon who's making what for what.

Just like any new gen of hardware, we'll always be playing catch-up with our not so new peripherals and hardware.

CLinT: So for now, this is a non-issue, as no devices (external drives, e.g.) are 3.1?

It is a non-issue until you have a PC with USB3.1 (ASUS' may in fact not be standard) and a device that can connect to it via 3.1.

FN: I have a PC with USB 3.1. I'm asking if, for example, external drives exist that are 3.1?

So my question is valid. What kind of cable would I need to move data at the max. speed? I've done a quick search and I can't seem to find one. They don't seem to have a single indicator, like Type-C. (How about Type-D?)
