    quick access toolbar height

In moving from Excel 2010 to 2016, I noticed that the ribbons, tabs, and Quick Access toolbar take up more territory, about 3 rows worth on my laptop as shown on the attached screen shot. Is there any way to reclaim this territory?

    1. Set Quick-Access toolbar above ribbon
    2. Minimize ribbon

You've touched a sore point with me. The ribbon is by far the STUPIDEST thing Microsoft ever did. I want toolbars I can control both their size and location. What a pain in the ass the ribbon is!!!!!

I quite like the ribbon and can think of other things done by MS that are more stupid.

Thanks. I'd rather get used to a new QA location than lose the territory.
BTW, windows versions before XP and Windows 8 get my vote
