    Lastpass

Is anyone else with Lastpass unable to login other than locally?

It is working normally, for me. I just logged out and logged in again and had no issues.

Mine just says it couldn't contact the login server so I'm now in offline mode. Just checking on another PC

Same on the other PC, in Chrome and FF. When I go to the LastPass home page and login from there it just tells me there's been an error and try again later. It was working about an hour ago but after I returned it had stopped.

Just tried logging in with a wrong password, then a wrong email address. Same error occurs. I would have thought it would have said that either was incorrect.

It would appear that they are having a high volume of support tickets due to the recent release of v4. I'm on v 3.2.42 so that may be why. Looking through their FAQs they actually have an entry for my particular problem and upgrading might fix the issue is one of the suggestions.

p.s. Rui, I assume you moved this thread to Security and scams - I had wondered if that was a better choice, so thank you for doing that.

Except I can go to any other site without any problems, whereas even the lastpass site is slooooow.

Slow = broken for authentication - it times out.
    Be patient, grasshopper.

Looking at the forums it appears I'm not the only one with this problem. Seems LP have done an upgrade which has bent the system somewhat. Now where have we heard that before?

I did get a brief notification and was logged out once, sometime around 12, or so. I retried the login and it seemed to work without any issues and it has been like that since.

I did move the post. Security seemed a better fit for a password manager related issue.

I have Version 4 & am not having the problems you note.

However, if it is Version 4 that is the culprit, you can "toggle" back to Version 3 to see if that helps. Then later, you can simply "toggle" back to Version 4

I still have version 3 but as I should've said it came back to life yesterday. It would appear that LP version 4 caused a lot of problems with many users.
