    Question Thunderbird and Windows 10

My Thunderbird will stop responding (usually for about 5 minutes) at times with Windows 10. I saw a few Google links about this, but none of the "answers" worked. Does anyone know how to cure this? (running TB in compatibility mode, changing its run priority DOES NOT WORK for me).

I've had no problems with TBird running under W10, apart from the Message Pane view resetting itself every time its turned off, which I think is a problem with the latest version of TBird rather than anything to do with W10. Try uninstalling TBird to remove any corrupt files. Reboot and reinstall the latest version, 38.5.1.

I had installed the latest Thunderbird on my computer after I installed Win10.

Last night I was pointed to FossaMail - it looks/works just like Thunderbird and comes in 64-bit flavor. Easy install, came with an easy migration from TB to FM, and it works great! All of my plugins worked. I think it's good bye Thunderbird, hello FossaMail.

Fossamail has an "import" tool, but it seems entirely unable to find any email clients to import from!
