Windows 10 thinks I'm not connected to the Internet but I am

The system tray icon has the yellow triangle with the exclamation point, and the message says "No internet access", and yet here I am using the internet to access the Lounge. How can I convince Windows that I am in fact connected? I do use a VPN, but I get the message even when I disconnect from it. I also use Glasswire and Namehelp, if that might make any difference.

Not a solution, unfortunately, but I have a variation -

When I start, W10 starts and various things happen (haven't found any way to REQUIRE a password for example) but -

I have a prog called Mailwasher which checks what is in the inbox and lets me remove spam.

In W10 it starts fine, but there is no Internet access. On checking, Ethernet is up and running but no Internet. Router is there and access starts if I click the Ethernet option in Network and sharing.

    Irritating....
