upgraded to 10 from 7 and I can not find any of my WLM mail files, address book or ms word files

    Hopefully someone can help.

Yesterday I used the UG from 7 to 10, trusting all files and folders etc would be transferred
and be in place as it is on 7.
The following is now not to be found, or i am not savy enough to find it.
I do not have great computer knowledge.

1 all win live mail settings and files
    2 all emails
3 all desktop ikons and short cuts
4 all MS word files and folders (still use Office Pro 2003)

this is so far what I could not find. Who knows what else is turning up as missing?
    can someone help please?
how do I get these files back?

I was thinking to reverse the upgrade back to WIN7.
would it re-set to my original Win7 and files?
and could i then UP to 10 later again?
    thank you for your help
    H

if you cannot find any of your files in their prior locations, then you can search for them in the Windows.old folder.
To do that look here; http://www.howtogeek.com/223821/what...you-delete-it/

The next time you decide to perform an upgrade make certain that your files are all backed up
on your own volition, and NOT by blindly trusting what an upgrade purports to entail.

recover email from the windows.old folder
