    outlook.pst to a new laptop (2000 (9.0.0.3821))

I have a new laptop with Outlook 2000 installed and want to transfer my old stuff to it but am 404 on how :-(

I want to put my 57Mb 'outlook.pst' file on a new laptop but cannot figure out how to replace the new 'outlook.pst' file since it does not exist.

    Any advice is welcome!

put the old pst on the drive in the location you want it in. then set up your outlook profile and point it to use the pst. if you are using IMO mode it may create a pst where it wants, if so close outlook and delete the new pst then reopen and when it complains, point it to the pst you want to use.

getting the pst moved is your problem <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15> but if using a cdr, make sure you uncheck the read only attribute after copying it to your new drive.

Worked like a charm, Mary, especially using the Import function under File.

    I knew I could count on you <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Thanks for helping to make my day!
