Sorry to put it like this, but that is really old news. Their original announcement was a few months ago.

Yeah, they cannot be trusted to honor their word. No surprises there.

Sorry to disagree again, but they did say it would not be immediate. Yes, you did get an email and now you have a date for the ending of your unlimited storage, but that is the only news. Everything else was already known.

You mean OFFICIALLY, as announced in Microsoft's very own OneDrive blog, back in November 2015?

    https://blog.onedrive.com/onedrive_changes/

No further comments or replies are needed, everything is crystal clear.

P.S. And since we are being picky, not they don't limit it to 1 TB, For those who signed for the special promotion, they allow you to keep previously given extra storage. In my case, I have 1 TB + 40.5 GB.

There may well be Loungers that did not see the original announcement, in which case the OP's Thread would be useful to them.
There is inevitably a lot of duplication or "old news" on here, but I can't see that it is a problem if it helps/informs somebody.

We do have a search feature that should be used a lot more often. This forum is a trove of useful information.

In my opinion, your post brought nothing new, as I stated. The issue had not only been discussed in the forum, but had also been discussed in the newsletter:

This doesn't mean you cannot post about it. If it meant that, your post would have been removed. However, it doesn't mean, either, that your post can be free of criticism or not subject to discussion, as it may happen with any other post made here. If you can't take that, well, that is your problem.
