I've no idea why you can't hide it, I have done so whenever it's appeared including a day or two ago.

I have recommended updates set not to be treated the same as important updates, and as a result this particular update appeared in the optional section unchecked and italicised. I was able to hide it from there ok.

Curious - it appeared in my Important updates.

Oh well, GWX Control Panel still seems to be doing its work.

I've been ignoring the Win 10 Nags and Pushers as listed in post 2 above (plus some others) since they started. I just don't leave a check in their box when updating. They generally go away after a while and have more recently started showing up in the Optional section of Windows Updates, and are italicized for some reason. I ignore them and they stay there. I hope they will eventually go away. I've stopped getting the Recommended updates because they are mainly just Win 10 Nags, Pushes, and MS snooping, and now only get the Important updates which are the security updates. This has worked for me so far. There is more info. to be had at the Askwoody.com website concerning this.
