Word always open new doc with a custom template
I want Word to always open using a specific custom template, either on initial launch or for File > New or New on the QAT.
Currently, all these actions present the 'chose a template' start screen. My template is on the top line, so no big deal to find and click it. However it's an irritant when doing it dozens of times in a work session.
Best solution I've found is to pin my preferred template to Word's icon on the taskbar, so right-click and click launches a new doc based on my template.
Seems odd to me that Word wouldn't have a setting for this. Is it hidden somewhere?
Alternatively, is there VBA code which could be put in the Normal template which would unload Normal and start a doc with a specified template?Lugh.
