You can have Cortana shutdown, restart, and put your computer in sleep mode at your command! To have her shutdown your computer create a shortcut on your desktop with
Code:
shutdown.exe /s /t 00
in the dialog box. For restart put
Code:
shutdown.exe -r -t 00
in the dialog box. Name your shutdown shortcut Shutdown, and your restart shortcut Restart. Move both of these shortcuts to
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\start menu\
Now open Notepad and copy
Code:
powercfg -h off

rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0
into it, and name it Sleep.cmd. Place this in
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\start menu\Cortana\
where Cortana is a newly created folder. Create a shortcut and place it in
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\startmenu\
Make sure its name is Sleep. Create a shortcut shutdown.exe -L and put it in[
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\start menu\
This will allow you to tell Cortana to Log Off! After trial and error I found Cortana recognized it after I named the shortcut Unlog, but others may have luck with other names.

Now you can say "Hey Cortana! Start Shutdown" or any of the other commands, and she will perform that task!
