    no scannow [Insider Preview]

Hello. I have been in the habit to run sfc /scannow from a CMD Admin point after all upgrades. Now on 14279 it tells me this:

    0scan.jpg

How to circumvent this funny dialogue ?

    All fine wishes. Jean.

Make sure the Windows Modules Installer service is enabled. See SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker.

It appears to be a bug in Build 14279. i get the same results when I try it. Search for SFC in Windows feedback and add your upvote for the SFC does not work in Build 14279 entry. It will probably get fixed in the next build. i also saw a report that DISM is also not working.

Yup, there is no sfc /scannow in this build. Perhaps next one.

Yes, it has been reported in the Feedback app. As jerry said, upvote it using the Feedback app.

Batch file to fix "sfc /scannow" behaviour. Code below works fine for x86 / x64 and doesn't depend on Build number: it needs not to be changed even for the next build after 14291 if the bug will not be fixed.
    Code:
    @echo off
    cls
    setlocal
    set root=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE%_microsoft-windows-servicingstack
    for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /ad /b %root%-onecore*') do set "from=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%%A"
    for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /ad /b %root%_*') do set "to=%SystemRoot%\WinSxS\%%A"
    takeown /F %to%\* /R /A 1>nul
    icacls %to%\*.* /T /grant administrators:F 1>nul
    echo on
    echo F|xcopy /C /R /O /Y %from%\wrpint.dll %to%\wrpint.dll
    pause
