Do you have the issue of many folders being created daily in your user temp folder? The folders will have various long alphanumeric names and will chew up your free space. I've been tracking down this problem on my wife's PC. She was getting 5-6 GB per month used up by these folders. I stumbled across this solution which has cleared up the problem for her.

It appears that a regularly scheduled Windows Defender scan has never completed. To fix:

Start Task Scheduler.
Expand the navigation pane, find the Windows Defender entry under Microsoft | Windows, click on it.
Right click on "Windows Defender Scheduled Scan" and select "Run".
Let it run to completion.
Re-boot
You should be able to delete the folders in your Temp folder and not see them recreated.
