Formatting one field based on the value of another

I have a form and a report in Access 2010 with a numeric field ("[Units]") that I want to display as blank when the value of another field ("[Type]") is a particular value (1), otherwise to display it normally (as a number). How do I code this in the field properties on the form and report?

I worked around this by changing the underlying query so that the field I want to display as blank is set as null in the query results when the value of the other field is a particular value; e.g., "=Iif ([Type]=1,"",[Units])".
